Chicken Pillows
Ingredients
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 Tbsp dry ranch dressing powder (do you know this stuff? haha)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Dough:
- 4 to 4.5 cups all purpose king arthur flour (I tell you it makes a differencce)
- 1/4 cup water, oil, and sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp yeast
Directions
- In Marcia Brown's words:
- Mix all of the filling ingredients together. It will be super thick.
- I put about 2 Tbsp in the middle of a flattened out piece of dough then form the dough up over the chicken mixture.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with a little beaten egg, sprinkle a little garlic salt and a little parmesan cheese on that.
- Place the folded messy part of the roll dough down on the sheet.
- They rise for about 20 min.
- Just cook them for whatever time it takes to cook the rolls in your oven, maybe anywhere from 15-18 minutes.
- For the dough, I just knead all the ingredients together to make a dough. Let rise once and then use it for the dough (my bread maker does it in 45 minutes while I'm doing the insides).
